Simple & Delicious Easter Recipes for Kids

Bird Nest Cookies


  • Egg (two)
  • Half cup sugar
  • One tsp. vanilla
  • Three and half cupfuls sugared coconut flakes
  • One-fourth cup flour
  • Jelly beans
  • Eight to twelve yellow chickens

Method of Preparation

  • Preheating the oven to a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Buttering a baking paper or lining with parchment baking sheet.
  • In an open vessel, beating the egg, vanilla & sugar together with a blender until one gets a pallid, froth-like consistency – approximately three to four minutes. Now, stirring in the flour & flaky coconut till properly mixed together.
  • For making the bird nest, form a mound of around three tbsp. batter and making around ten to twelve of them that are to be placed around two inches away from one another on the baking tray. Using a ladle for spreading every mound into a 2.5 inches sphere with a depressed core area.
  • Baking these till they are light gold brownish for approximately twenty minutes. Take out of the oven and gently pressing three pieces of jelly bean onto the core areas of all nests. Using spatulas transferring each nest carefully onto mesh racks for cooling totally and then stored in air-tight containers to be consumed for close to two days. Pre-serve, all nests are to be topped with chicks.

Rabbit Crepe


  • Egg (two)
  • One yellow of egg
  • Three-fourth cup skimmed milk
  • Half cup flour
  • Two teaspoon butter, softened
  • Half cup water
  • One teaspoon sugar
  • Some vanilla
  • Strawberry pieces
  • Chocolate sauce
  • Whip cream
  • A teaspoon butter or non-sticky spray.

Method of Preparation

  • Combining the above constituents except the flour and whisking them properly. Now gradually adding the flour to prevent lump formations. Use flour sieve too would be working well.
  • For cooking the crepe, firstly spraying a rounded frying pan with some non-sticky spray. Heating on moderate heat and then adding an oz. of the mix & swirling it for coating the pan base. Once the corners have begun pulling away from the vessel then flipping it & cooking for further ten seconds.
  • One could fill in sliced strawberry pieces to the base two-third of the crepe & rolling to form a tubular structure and leave the upper one-third part vacant. Making an incision with a sharpened knife all through the central part of the crepe, incising merely the upper 1/3rd part. Then fold the duo sections downwards to a slight extent for forming the rabbit ears.
  • For the facial part of the rabbit, the strawberry tip is to be slashed for the nose. Now, dipping the tooth-pick into the chocolaty sauce for making the eye areas. Decorate with strawberry pieces, curls of carrots, chocolate sauce & adding whip cream just prior to offering it.

Crunchy Carrot Fingers


  • Two & half cupfuls of carrot (post-steaming)
  • White of one egg
  • One-fourth cup parmesan cheese
  • One-fourth cup crumbed bread
  • Half teaspoon cinnamon
  • Half teaspoon sugar
  • Some salt & pepper according to taste
  • Some powdered garlic, cumin plus all-spice
  • Crumbed bread to coat
  • Parsley pieces for garnishing

Method of Preparation

  • Mixing together the just mentioned constituents, apart from the crumbed bread set aside to coat.
  • Shaping the mix to form conical carrot shapes and pack the mix together properly.
  • In a gentle manner rolling it in crumbed bread & then setting on a plate.
  • Spraying pan using non-sticky spray or add some drops olive oil to the pan. On a moderate heat, frying the conical pieces till they are gold-brownish & turn over sides – around three min. for every side.
  • Arranging on plate & add some parsley sprigs for the top of each carrot.
